George Welch, Rest in Peace …

All of us at the Allen Valleys Folk Festival are so so saddened to learn of the death of George Welch.

George graced our festival on a number of occasions, latterly with the wonderful Christine Jeans.

“George and Christine tickle the strings of various ukuleles, guitars, banjos and even a miniature bass, while simultaneously tickling our funny bones and touching our hearts with songs traditional and modern, on themes of love, brotherhood and hard work.'"

Our thoughts are with George’s family and with Christine and all of his friends at this very sad time.
