We are thrilled to announce that Chris and Catriona will be playing on the Saturday afternoon of the Allen Valleys Folk Festival.

This award winning duo have taken the most traditional of Scottish instruments

and catapulted them into the contemporary world of music making.

A 30 year long telepathy sees Chris and Catriona weave their way seamlessly

between glorious soundscapes and music of breathtaking simplicity.

The intense and rugged coastal scenery and the dramatic seas that surround their

respective origins in Fair Isle and Dundee are ever-present in this unique and

treasured duo sound.

Virtuosic and cinematic, Chris and Catriona’s music charts a rhythmic and

harmonic terrain that is all their own. The result is a dynamic and intrepidly

adventurous sound that transcends genre yet remains immovably tethered to

place.

Festival weekend passes go on sale locally in person on 21st March at St Cuthbert's Church Hall from 10:00am to 12:00noon, then online at 7:00pm on Sunday 22nd March.
