A festival update, following our weekend ticket sale

This year's festival is sold out and we are looking forward to welcoming those of you that were fortunate enough to buy tickets for the 2026 Allen Valleys Folk Festival in September. Let’s hope the weather is kind to us.
We understand some of you are disappointed about missing out on tickets and we are so sorry we cannot do more.
Ours is a small village based festival, organised and run by volunteers. We book about a dozen bands and artists for the festival weekend. We use our village hall and our local church as our main music venues (They have an audience capacity of about 200 each). We also organise a family ceilidh and free gigs in the local pubs and open mic sessions at the Forge Studios and Café. We use the church hall, our library, the Medway Building at Higher Ground and Allendale Methodist Church for our spoken word events and workshops. Guided walks take place throughout the weekend and dance with various Clog and Morris dance teams happens in the village centre on the Saturday afternoon of the festival weekend. On the Saturday evening, the Allendale Wolf bonfire is burnt.
Many of our festival events are free and you don’t need a festival ticket to attend them or take part. We will be releasing the details of our workshop programme, guided walks and spoken word events later in the year.
